Brazil is perhaps not the first country you associate with wine, but the country is the 3rd largest wine producer in South America.

The state Rio Grande do Sul is the major wine region and the wine production came with the Italian immigrants in the late 1800s.

The Serra Gaucha mountains and the valley Vale do Vinhedos locate most of the vineyards.

The valley is beautiful situated between the mountains and the hills. The place has become popular and offers everything from luxury, wine tasting to culinary experiences.

Brazilians invest heavy in new technology, they are innovative and they acquire new competence in Europe. The result is quality! In 2007 EU also approved their quality.
